Dev Meetup Moscow #2

Dev Meetup Moscow #2

The second Dev Meetup Moscow featured experts from SONM and Explode, discussing key aspects of blockchain development, sidechains, and consensus mechanisms.

🔹 Igor Lebedev (SONM) – explored the post-escalation mechanism for voting in decentralized systems, its advantages over traditional models, and its application in sidechains. He analyzed examples such as Polkadot, PolyNetwork, and Atomic Swaps, while also addressing security concerns and economic incentives.

🔹 Alexey Fomkin (Explode) – provided an overview of Tendermint as a powerful solution for building BFT blockchains. He discussed its architecture, integration with GRPC, support for multiple programming languages, and real-world use cases like Ethermint.

🔹 Anton Shchukin (SONM) – explained how sidechains help solve Ethereum’s performance issues, reducing transaction costs and delays. He covered different consensus mechanisms, the potential transition to POS, and the roadmap toward decentralization.
